Dear Sisters and Brothers,

It's getting time to dig out that big roasting pan for that king size turkey and line up those invitations for
all the relatives and friends that are going to fill our homes with fun and laughter. So Happy Thanksgiving to
each and every one of you.
I want to thank everyone who showed up for our Dinner on October 28th and then participated in our
Halloween Contest. There is more to come in the following months, Dinners as well as Contests, so keep
your eyes on the calendar and your ears open. You never can tell what you will hear or see, just be able to
tell the fact from someone's fantasy.
On November 4th our Past Madam President (1954-1955) Dorothy Hollinger has invited us all to come and
celebrate with her on the occasion of her 90th Birthday. This will start around noon, so lets be there and give
her an old fashion birthday bash.
NOVEMBER 18TH IS OUR AUXILIARY'S 51ST ANNIVERSARY DINNER. PLEASE COME AND HONOR OUR
AUXILIARY PAST PRESIDENTS WITH US. FESTIVITIES START AT 5:30 P.M.
Here is something to figure out: 38% of Dog Owners have done this: ? ? ? ? ?. Come to our next Auxiliary
Meeting and give me the correct answer and receive a prize! (I can't wait to hear some of those answers!)

Thanks again!
Rose Totten,
Madam President

To My Brothers and Sisters of 2933,

Well, looks like fall is upon us. Please drive safe in the change of weather. I will not be having a Dinner
this month due to a conflict of dates but, I will be having a Dinner next month and it will be Beef Stroganoff,
Salad bar, dinner roll, and desert, So watch for the posters and dinner tickets.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Joe Delvecchio and his family for the recent loss of his mother.
I'd like to wish Linda McCurdy "Good Luck" on her Youth Convention Bid. For those of you that have not
yet heard, Our Sister, Linda McCurdy, is in the process of submitting a bid for South Tacoma to host the 2001
Youth Convention, what an honor that would be!
I would like to thank Worthy Vice President, Bud Leatham, for residing as President while I was away on
vacation.
Please check your calendar for Dinners this Month, Al Manz will be having his Octoberfest as well as
other Dinners.
At our first Meeting in December we will be voting on a new Treasurer. Please be there to cast your vote
and have your voice heard. We were going to vote in November but then I was advised it must be by notice
to the membership 30 days prior to voting, so, Brothers, those of you that had planned on nominating a
brother please be aware of the date change.
See you along the Eagle Trail . . . . . .

Fraternally,
Worthy President
Robert Gardner

Oh, there's no place like Home For The Holidays;
For no matter how far away you roam,
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze,
For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home

I met a man who lives in Tennessee and he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some home-made pumpkin pie.
From Pennsylvania folks are travelin' down to Dixie's sunny shores;
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee, the traffic is terrific.

Oh, there's no place like Home For The Holidays
Cause no matter how far away you roam,
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home.
